A Group Art Celebration of the Monstrous, mysterious and macabre
Friday October 12, 2018
6pm - 9pm
Bread Box Studio Artists
501 West 6th street
Lexington, Kentucky 40508
Join us on Friday, October 12th for the opening reception of Who Goes There? - a group art show celebrating the monstrous, mysterious, and macabre. This will be our 2nd year organizing this show, and it was a ton of spooky fun last year!
We've curated an art exhibit featuring over 30 local and regional artists with a focus on the spirit of the Halloween season and all things creepy, spooky and fun. Each artist was asked for their own unique take on this theme, and we can't wait to see the results!
Come celebrate the season with us and this show at the Bread Box Studio Artists gallery space! We will have a variety of food for those attending the show, and a festive, Halloween-themed atmosphere!
As an added bonus, our friends from West Sixth Brewing will be serving a variety of scary-good Kentucky craft brews!
Featuring art from the following artists:
Matt Minter Art
Jack X Taylor
Anthony Tank Mansfield
Blake Snyder Eames
Becky Atkinson Alley
It still amazes me that I am in the woodland arts fair this year and every year I get into this fair. I remember being a little kid and seeing all the arts booths and people setting up and now as a "big kid", I am actually participating. Unreal.
This year for the Woodland Arts Fair I am close to the pool. I am in Booth #15! To help you remember, I started printmaking at the UK Reynolds Building in 2003 so its been about 15 years since I have been a printmaker! Come by and say hello and buy some things! Or stop by for a free high five!
Here is a link on the web that has all the information!

The Bourbon trail has been sending Kentuckians on a road-trip style tour of bluegrass distilleries for almost 20 years. Inspired by this famous Kentucky tour, we’ve decided to create PARK CRAWL, a driving tour of Lexington’s most unique park spaces and nature preserves.
The event will feature a nature walk at the historic McConnell Springs Park, an archery lesson at Hisle Farm Park, tennis and at Woodland Park, and a printmaking workshop with the Bluegrass Printmakers Association at Artworks at the Carver School.
Transportation to each stop will be provided. The event starts and finishes at Artworks at the Carver School.
Cost: $12 plus tax (t-shirt included)
Saturday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Space is limited!!!
