Bandana For You Prints Instructor: Stephen Joseph Wiggins Sunday, June 7th 1:30pm - 4:30pm Cost: $75 Materials Fee: $10 for the relief block and $10 for the bandana Number of students maximum: 6 Description: A specific focused class on printing onto bandanas. It is a workshop focusing solely on learning how to print onto bandanas using an etching press. We will be using Gamblin inks to print with color and as well using drive by black to print onto fabric. You will carve with Speedball tools into a block with your own design. You will learn how to ink it up and print one image as well as pattern printing and registration, using black ink or multiple colors if you wish. Students need to bring: ideas, sketchbook Instructor Bio Stephen Wiggins is a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a BA in Art Studio. He practices his work at the BPC when he is not working full time. He focuses on relief printmaking and his themes cover several different areas including spiritual, humor, social commentary and faith. HAVE T-SHIRT WILL RELIEF PRINT Instructor: Stephen Joseph Wiggins June 14th, 2015 1:30pm - 4:30pm Cost: $75 Materials Fee: $10 for the relief block, $12 for shirts (3 per student) (students can purchase more if they would like from BPC) Number of students maximum: 6 Description: If you have always wanted to make a t-shirt or to print on any fabric-based material this is for you! It is a workshop focusing solely on learning how to print onto t-shirts. We will be using Gamblin inks to print with color and as well using drive by black to print onto fabric. Drive by black dries fast - at least one week. You will carve with Speedball tools into a block with your own design. You will learn how to ink it up and print it onto a t-shirt using a printing press. Printmaking for Teachers Instructor: Elizabeth Foley SESSION #1 June 22, 23, 24, 25 2015 Time: 1:00pm 4:00pm >OR SESSION #2 June 22, 23, 24, 25 2015 Time: 9:00am 12:00pm Cost: $300 Materials Fee: $20 Number of students maximum: 6 Description: Printmaking for the classroom! Learn basic collagraph, monoprint and relief techniques to teach your students. We’ll make and print plates as well as develop resource materials and lesson plans. During the first three classes you’ll learn three printing techniques and during the fourth class we will finish our print samples, pull the information together and walk away with ready to use lessons. Hand printing and using a press will be part of the class too. Kindergarten through high school teachers welcome. Instructor Bio: Elizabeth is a printmaker and art educator. She earned a BFA in graphic design from Washington University, an MFA in printmaking and an M.Ed in secondary art education from Ohio University. She has been showing work nationally for over twenty years and won “Best of Kentucky” at the AFB Woodland Art Fair in 2015.

Tonight I am printing live A Cup of Common Wealth. I will be doing relief prints. Showing about relief printmaking and what printmaking is about. Also trying to promote Bluegrass Printmakers' Cooperative summer classes. It is free and starts today at 5pm and goes until they close at 7pm.
